Basic Form (Kibon)
White Belt
Kibon is an introductory form taught to non-belt or white belt Yusabu Taekwondo School students before they move to the traditional World Taekwondo color belt forms (i.e. Il Jang). Kibon means “basic” in Korean and thus Kibon forms teach basic stances and techniques of Taekwondo to new students. For example, Taekwondo Kibon focuses on low blocks, middle punches, and front stances.
However, please be aware that Kibon forms are only taught at some Taekwondo schools. In addition, the steps and techniques contained in entry-level Kibon forms can also vary from school to school. For this reason, we encourage all Yusabu Taekwondo School students to return to this page to practice, rather than searching online for other videos. That way, you can guarantee you are learning the form you will be tested on during your next belt test.
